Role of Head Junior Coach
        These are the guidelines of the responsibilities of Head Junior Coach for Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club.
        Responsibilities:
        The Head Junior Coach is responsible to the main committee of Farnham Park Baseball and Softball Club.
        Skills required:
        
            - A good knowledge and understanding of softball.
 
            - Confident with good leadership skills.
 
            - Enthusiastic and a good motivator.
 
            - The ability to communicate with groups and individuals.
 
            - The ability to listen to and mentor people.
 
        
        Main Duties:
        
            - To take responsibility for the club’s coaching and training sessions.
 
            - To take responsibility for assistant coaches at all coaching and training sessions.
 
            - To maintain high, ethical standards in coaching.  To ensure they keep up to date with their knowledge, skills and qualifications.
 
            - To undertake training appropriate to their role. (Child Protection training).
 
            - Ensure that all coaching/training sessions are planned in advance.
 
            - Ensure that all coaching/training sessions take place in a safe environment (Risk Assessments).
 
            - To offer feedback on players’ performances.
 
            - To attend competitions with junior teams.
 
            - Assist in the selection of teams.
 
            - To offer the club committee feedback on the success of junior teams for both coaching and playing.
 
            - To attend junior club meetings and report to the main committee where appropriate.
 
            - To inform the Junior Co-ordinator, in advance, of any sessions/games that can not be attended.
